WHO

Exactly who is making my soap?

Lisa--our master soapmaker has been making soap for over 20 years. She has a Master's degree in organic chemistry and biology and a deep abiding passion for coffee and fresh kale.

WHAT

What's in my soap?

Wild-harvested botanicals (we hand pick them fresh from the trail!), organic essential oils, organic extra-virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic RSPO certified sustainable palm oil

What is Leaping Bunny Certification?

We don't just claim to be cruelty-free, we are certified cruelty-free! Our soaps are certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. That means that we do not test on animals and none of the ingredients in any of our products have been tested on animals.....and yes, we have to prove it by re-certifying every year.

What is Beauty Without Bunnies Certification?

Beauty Without bunnies Certified means that we have gone the extra mile to ensure our products meet the rigorous standards established by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). We are certified vegan and cruelty-free through Beauty Without Bunnies. None of our products or ingredients have been tested on animals and they contain no animal products or by-products.

What does wildcrafted mean and why should I care?

Wild-crafted refers to plants collected from their natural or indigenous habitat.  They are as natural as one can hope to get and organic by their own nature. Plants growing in the wild must be stronger than cultivated plants to survive. This strength can translate into higher concentrations of beneficial properties, making them much more beneficial to your skincare routine. We ethically wildcraft with minimal environmental impact to ensure long term sustainability.

WHY

Why don't you sell lavender soap? Everyone else does.

We don't sell lavender soap because it isn't native to our area. We hand-pick all of our botanicals to bring nature directly to you in every bar of soap! Check out our wildflower collection for some awesome alternatives. They smell so good you'll abandon lavender forever!

Why does my soap look different (color) than the last bar I purchased?

Because nature is amazing! No two flowers are identical. No two bundles of herbs are identical. No two fields of wildflowers are identical. Because we only use wild-harvest botanicals and natural ingredients color may vary slightly depending on the time of the year plant materials were harvested, whether we used fresh plants or plants previously harvested and dried, and because nature just refuses to be controlled. Enjoy the variance! It means your soap is truly a product of nature.

HOW

How is my order shipped and how long will it take to get here?

Your order is shipped by USPS first class mail and typically arrives in just a few days!

How long will my soap last?

With average use, about 3-4 weeks (3.5 oz bar). Our larger bars (6.5 oz bar) will last twice as long! We suggest cutting them in half and storing the unused half in a cool, dry place that you want to smell absolutely fabulous (like a linen closet or sock drawer!)

To extend the life of your soap:

  • Allow your soap to dry completely between uses
  • Store your soap on a well draining soap dish (soap decks work best!)
  • Avoid leaving soap in direct spray of water
  • Never leave in standing water (don't drown your soap!)
